Implement "Read more.." function In Classic Blogger

I believe many of you who still using Classic Blogger template( like me ) fail to implement "read more.." function in their post... "Read more.." function like in Wordpress is very useful if you're writing long articles or tips so can type in a bit description of the tips for a few lines, and then if readers want to read the details, they have to click on "read more.." link.. I've try to implement to my blog and it works...

Anyway, if you really want to add this function in your blog, you should follow this little guide that will help you to successfully set up "read more.." function on your classic blogger template...

The Steps are :-

1) Copy the code below and paste it under your css template section of your blogger :-


2) Add this code under " <$BlogItemBody$> " section :


p/s : you can change "read more.." to whatever you like for example,"details..", "full articles..", etc..

Once, you finish, save your template..It's now time to create new post and do a bit tweak in your post...

Let say your post is like this :

"My Favorite Artist"

Want to know more about my favorite artist and where you can download his/her video or song, read the whole articles.

My favorite artist bla2..bla2...
You can download his/her song at bla2...bla2....
.............................
Visit his/her fan site at .....


4) After finish typing your full post, click on "Edit HTML", under "Want to know more..." and above "My favorite artist...", put in this code :



5) And last thing to do is, under last sentence which is "You can download his/her..", put in this code :-



So, you full post( in edit HTML mode) should be like this :-



that's it..,then click on "Publish Post"...really easy to implement..:D...

For General :-
Extended Threat Categories : select all

How To Rewrite Other Articles To Avoid Duplicate Content

Everybody hates duplicate content because in the blogging world, "Unique Content" is a King. By providing good content for your blog, you will be able to get better traffic that keeps coming over and over. But, I see many bloggers just simply copy-and-paste the article from other sites to their blog. As a result, too many sites with duplicate content, making the visitors get bored to read since they've read it somewhere else.

I know the reason of copy-and-paste. It because many bloggers feel that they do not have confidence in producing good articles.

So, what is the effective solution anyway to prevent duplicate content ?

1) First, the expensive way is to hire a ghost writer to write for you.
2) Purchase PLR content - sometimes it doesn't help because too many people buying PLR nowadays.
3) The most effective one is to "Learning From Other Blogs". Which means, you read the interesting articles from other site, and learn how to rewrite it then Post it to your blog.

# I know some of you is no good at writing especially the grammar. But if you do write the articles couple time using option number 3, I'm sure you'll be surprise. Because writing is a skill and you can polish it. The more you do it, the better you will become..:D


What's The Rewriting Formula ?

a) First read the whole article and trying to understand the meaning what the author trying to deliver.

b) When you know what this is all about, start creating a catchy Title to attract visitors to read the content. Usually visitors tend to look the title first, if it interesting they will continue to read the rest of your articles. If the article you read is "Buying Laptop" then you should rewrite it to something like "Guide To Buy a Laptop" or "Buying Laptop - What Important Features To Look For ?"

---> Try to include a word like "How To", "Guide to", "Step-by-Step..", "Tips to.." if you're writing an article to provide the solution..

c) Use synonyms to replace other words when appropriate.

d) Try to link to other sites/blogs that have the similar post content in the post . For example ;
> "You can read more about .... at http://..."
> "Tips on ...can also be found at http://..."

-Be more creative by including images/pics in your post.

Yeah, I've did it to my laptop since it takes longer time during boot up..So, to reduce time taken for boot process, I've change the Timeout settings...

All you have to do is go to Start > Run and type in "msconfig"


And under BOOT.INI tab, you will find your boot loader info like Timeout and OS..
If I'm not mistaken, the Timeout default is 30 seconds. So to reduce it to 10 seconds like I did to my laptop, just change the value in Timeout box, right under "Move down" button and click OK then you're done..

Restart your PC to see whether it's working or not...

Download Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 Demo To Play

When I heard the demo of this game released, I quickly surf the Net to download it to test what's the different
from the previous version. I love Pro Evolution Soccer more than FIFA because the game is not heavy as FIFA, I mean even the graphic quality just like FIFA but the game in PES load faster..

In demo version, there's only 7 international teams which is Brazil, France, Spain, Argentina, Portugal and Turkey. I'm choosing to play single game with my favorite team, Argentina vs Spain..Huhu..what can I say is, the graphics is improved because the stadium looks like the real one, and the player's facial impression also not bad for new version. I can see the smooth of player's movement, the passing and shooting becoming more accurate. But the AI for this version also in advance mode and that's what make this game more fun...

Tips Of The Day - How To Know The Cause Of PC Suddenly Restart

It happens quite a lot to some of my friends, and they asking me what the problem that cause their PCs suddenly restart like during playing game or surfing the Net.

Ok guys, this is a bit tips on how to know the problems that might cause your PC suddenly restart or reboot.

In Windows XP, right-click My Computer and choose Properties then click on Advanced Tab.
Under 'Startup and Recovery' section, click "Settings" button.


Make sure to "uncheck" the "Automatically Restart" option, and click OK. Done !


So the next time the suddenly restart problem occur, you will likely see a text screen reporting a system error. At that time, be sure to jot down any info and see whether you can find related info on the Net to fix the problem.

Changing Windows' Power Setting To Cut PC's Energy Use

Most of the desktop PC users take for granted of Power Setting configuration but by tweaking or changing a bit of the option, you can cut your PC power bill.

You've probably put your laptop into hibernation or sleep hundreds of times, but people typically ignore these features on desktop.

So, to tweak power management settings in Windows XP click Start > Control Panel > Power Options. In Vista, just click the Start button and type in "power options" and press . You will find that there are 3 preset schemes :-

- Turn Off monitor and/or hard disk only
- Standby / Sleep Mode
- Hibernate mode

Hibernate Mode uses least amount of power, but it takes longest time to suspend and resume. The more RAM you have, the longer the process takes.Standby Mode is definitely my choice but it uses only slightly more power than Hibernate does, yet its suspend and resume times are virtually instantaneous no matter how much RAM is installed.

So, it's up to you to choose which one suit you most...
